December 2010 - "Tim Janis: The American Christmas Carol" a HUGE Success!

I am overjoyed to report that "Tim Janis: The American Christmas Carol" played to a sold-out house from the historic Isaac Stern Auditorium / Ronald O. Perelman Stage of Carnegie Hall in NYC on December 2nd, 2010. Tim Janis was beaming as the huge production involving over 400 performers unfolded perfectly!

The orchestra was beautiful and full and powerful and amazing. The choir sounded like angels from heaven. The soloists were all so talented it was staggering.

Throughout the evening a testimony of God's creation, His love for us, and the hope of The Savior was given through compositions written by Tim Janis and others. If you weren't already in the Christmas spirit when you entered Carnegie Hall, you certainly were upon leaving! The sweet Spirit of God filled and enveloped that place. God blessed Tim Janis and blessings flowed all around the venue that night.

The scope of the production was vast, including (2) 90-seat orchestras, a 220-voice choir, and over a dozen other soloists and performers. The backstage areas bustled with seemingly endless queues of participants flowing to and from that grand old stage. While not onstage Tim Janis filled the roles of enthusiastic encourager, energizer, and smile generator to all who passed by.

Backstage during the show I caught a moment with Tim Janis and our conversation turned to my Dad. Because of an event with his pacemaker, my Dad could not attend the performance that night. Tim put his hand on my shoulder and prayed for him right there and then, as if nothing in the midst of that controlled chaos, nothing in the whole world were more important. To me, this is Tim Janis.

I am humbled, thankful and overwhelmingly joyful to have had the opportunity to work with Tim, serving on electric guitar behind singers Sarah Darling, Chandler Lutz and Ryan Lutz. I can't tell you how blessed I was that night at Carnegie Hall and I know I speak for so many others, both listeners and participants!

Yours In Christ ... Hank Stansfield

Tim Janis is a composer, musician, conductor and arranger with millions of albums sold, five National Public TV Specials, and 10 Billboard Charting CDs! Although he has worked with some of the biggest names in music (Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Ray Charles, etc) the coolest thing about him, in my humble opinion, is his TIRELESS WORK ON BEHALF OF SO MANY CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS!
